Block Prints

For the block print project, our task was to carve out a print on an about 8 by 10 inch board. In a way, our block print was the same as an over sized stamp. For mine, I carved out a picture of Gelato which to me meant my dad and I travelling to Italy to see my sister. I really liked this project because I was able to edit my "stamp" whenever i wanted and still was able to produe other stamps. I will post the collage of the stamps I did as soon as I get my project back.

Skateboard 2

The second skateboard I created I believe is fairly better. This may be because I could draw anything I pleased. I drew a ice-cream cone because well.. why not? The "cone" drawn on the first board i disliked so I wanted to make it another more pleasing, simplistic form. I used pink, brown, and again, black for this drawing. Hopefully you agree this is better, thank you for your time.

Skateboard 1

This is drawing of a skateboard was created to have no pattern and to have no particular image, only a random picture. The three Sharpie colors used in this skateboard was red, gold, and black. I apologize for the folded drawing... sorry. Hopefully you don't think this is too bad...

The Barnyard

This painting of a barn scenario has not one reference point but two. Instead of the lines and shapes seaming to get smaller as they came to the center, they get larger, and shrink as the shapes drift towards the sides of the painting. The color scheme for this picture is red along with its shades. Thank you for viewing the painting.
